WHEN BLONDIE CAME TO BRITAIN
BBC TWO
I directed this one hour single about the band Blondie’s relationship with the UK, featuring rare and unseen archive.
In 1977, a small and relatively unknown group called Blondie arrived in Bournemouth ahead of their first ever UK tour. This is the story of the key part Britain played in helping break one of the world’s most influential bands, and the impact the band had on British fans.
Filming the band on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury was a career highlight!
The film won an RTS award for Best Entertainment.
